Tony Hows

After graduating with an honours degree in Law from London University, Tony joined a medium sized firm of solicitors in London as a trainee. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1972. Over the next few years he rose to become the Senior Partner. After 10 years in that role he decided to leave in order to establish his own specialist firm at Heathrow providing services to the airline industry.

After 5 years he reversed his firm into a large national firm for whom he continued to work as a consultant. He also started working for a city commercial firm as a consultant.

In 2013 Tony decided to retire from practice in order to live in the USA where he had had a house for many years. Unfortunately, health problems and the USA healthcare system made living in the USA unviable and Tony returned to the UK. On his return he decided to resume legal practice as a consultant and joined Couchman Hanson at the end of 2018.

Tony has extensive experience in the fields of employment and company and commercial law. He is particularly experienced in advising SMEs on such matters as sales of the business, restructuring and trading disputes.  Given his experience he is also an expert in aviation law.
