Paul Marcus is a well-known figure in the local community having spent fifteen years in the role of Managing Director at the area`s much-loved, commercial radio station, Eagle Radio. He previously held key positions at local media, businesses, and third-sector organisations and has extensive local knowledge of towns and cities across the south of England.  

During his time at Eagle Radio,  Paul was part of the UKRD Management team that were four-times, award winners of ` The Sunday Times Best Companies.’  During his tenure at Eagle Radio, Paul also established The Surrey & Hampshire Local Heroes Awards and in 2010, founded The Eagle Radio Trust charity to raise funds to support local community groups and charities.

Paul is a big fan of local sport and a Trustee of Aldershot Town`s Football Foundation. In 2012 he created the concept for a Community stand which has enabled the club to offer free matchday access to local schools and sports clubs.

Paul joined the Couchman Hanson team in 2021 in the role of non-exec Director. His key responsibilities including the development of the company`s workplace culture and values, supporting the strategic development of Couchman Hanson`s continued growth.

As an active member of the business community, Paul organises regular networking events and conferences. One of Paul`s passions is to create opportunities for public, private and third sector organisations to collaborate and in 2021 he founded The Surrey Charity Network. Paul is a regular keynote speaker and in 2022 hosted The Children of Courage Awards at Wentworth Golf Club.

As part of the senior management team at Couchman Hanson, Paul has been using his experience to facilitate local charity partnerships, ensuring that the company is playing an active role in Haslemere`s community and supporting plans for an expansion to the Couchman Hanson group, with new offices opening in Camberley and Crowthorne in 2023.
